The Edison home, located adjacent to the winter home of Henry Ford, features the inventor's laboratory and botanical gardens. Henry Ford bought the property next to the Edison's and visitors can tour the home of the world's first billionaire as well as the Edison home. Tours are Mon-Sat 9am-4pm, Sun 12pm-4pm. Closed Christmas and Thanksgiving.

Holiday House at the Edison & Ford Winter Estates
"Holiday House" at the Edison & Ford Winter Estates in Fort Myers has been a December tradition for the past 29 years attracting 30,000 visitors annually to view the lights and festive decorations that fill the 14 acres of gardens and historic homes. This year the theme for Holiday House is "Guests are Coming: A Holiday Walk with Mrs. Edison and Mrs. Ford", and visitors can celebrate the holidays in Old Florida style as they stroll through the tropical riverside setting of the Estates surrounded by more than one million twinkling lights. Every night visitors can enjoy live entertainment, dine on delicious holiday treats at the Garden Café and do some holiday shopping at the Garden Shoppe, Museum Store and Holiday Marketplace. Holiday House is open December 3 - January 2 from 5 - 9 PM (closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day) and tickets are $6 for adults, $1 for children (ages 6-12), FREE for children 5 and younger. Groups are welcome, and should call 239.461.2687 for rates and reservations.

Ab Dezember fahr ich grundsaetzlich nicht mehr die 41, sondern nur noch den McGregor, einfach weil ich diese festlich geschmueckte Strasse so mag.
