Hello Wolf,

I appreciate the idea to create a sub-forum only in english language. :002:
I hope a lot of members will participate and guests will become curious so that they will join.

I am looking forward about the threads and postings.

Sister:

Tip: Lasse einfach von Dir in MSWord geschriebene Texte vom spell checker (in MSWord eingebaut) - nennt sich Rechtschreibprüfung-- mit Sprachwahl US-Englisch, überprüfen. Der macht auch Verbesserungsvorschläge. Dann, nach Korrektur durch den checker, einfach kopieren und übertragen, wo der Text hin soll.

Tip: Leave by you in MSWord written texts of spell checker (built into
MSWord) simple - calls itself spell verification -- with language
choice US English, examine. That makes also improvement suggestions. Then, after correction by the checker, simply copy and transfer, where the text is.

I think, even if you use the spell check, you practice your english. Actually you correct yourself, reading it twice...
Good luck, just start posting and don't be ashamed, we don't make fun of you, promise:007:

O.K. folks, just for you, my most funny mistake:
During one of my very first English lessons, long, long time ago,
We played “shopping at a bakery”
This is what I have said:

I want to become a piece of bread……..

Yep, that is funny:lach: .

In my "Bloody beginner times" I used to translate the word "or" just like you would use it in german. Like "Such a nice lake, or"... meaning, " so eine schoener See, oder". You know what I mean? My hubby corrected me after a while, telling me to say "right", instead of "or".:0201:

I like the idea of this "english only"-thread. But unfortunately it is not used as frequently as I thought it would be.

Are there any suggestions how we can make more people use it?

I just joined and since English is my mother tongue, I can help out if needed. But please don't anyone ask for lessons. :0096:

Why did no one continue to write in english? Its so much fun to talk in a different language than the native one :D

i agree .. in my daily routine i am confronted with more english then german. It got to this point that sometimes if i try to think of a word the first thing that comes to mind is the english version of it.
i just think there are not enough foreign attendees/Members to keep this sub-forum up and running.
