Clotilde Otranto, resident conductor
Mozart – Serenade No. 6 K 239 Serenata Notturna for two small orchestras
Ives – The Unanswered Question
Wagner – Siegfried Idyll
Beethoven – Symphony No. 7 in A major

Beethoven’s epic, exuberant Seventh Symphony is featured in this deliciously eclectic musical mix. Opening the program will be Mozart’s graceful Serenade No. 6, also known as the Night Serenade. Charles Ives’ mysterious, transcendental The Unanswered Question follows, asking – without answering – “the eternal question of existence,” as Ives put it. Also featured: Wagner’s Siegfried Idyll, a tender and poignant piece written to celebrate the birth of his son.
