Natürlich steht das schlimmste noch bevor, denn es gibt ja praktisch keine Gegenmassnahmen.
Zahlen von gestern:

At least 73 new coronavirus deaths and 3,689 new cases were reported in Florida on Oct. 23. Over the past week, there have been an average of 3,335 cases per day, an increase of 36 percent from the average two weeks earlier.

As of Saturday afternoon, there have been at least 776,243 cases and 16,416 deaths in Florida since the beginning of the pandemic, according to a New York Times database.

Die Tendenz ist schon klar steigend. Aber im Gegensatz zu anderren Bundesstaaten, sind die Höchstwerte vom Sommer noch nicht erreicht.

At least 77 new coronavirus deaths and 4,471 new cases were reported in Florida on Oct. 24. Over the past week, there have been an average of 3,396 cases per day, an increase of 66 percent from the average two weeks earlier.

Die Zahlen vom Sonntag fallen ja immer etwas niedriger aus.

At least 12 new coronavirus deaths and 2,385 new cases were reported in Florida on Oct. 25. Over the past week, there have been an average of 3,374 cases per day, an increase of 31 percent from the average two weeks earlier.

As of Monday morning, there have been at least 778,628 cases and 16,428 deaths in Florida since the beginning of the pandemic, according to a New York Times database.

At least 20 new coronavirus deaths and 3,377 new cases were reported in Florida on Oct. 26. Over the past week, there have been an average of 3,612 cases per day, an increase of 39 percent from the average two weeks earlier.

Ich habe jetzt anhand Deiner Angaben mal den Inzidenzwert berechnet, der hier ja tagtäglich in der Presse rumschwirrt.

Bei 21,48 Mio. Einwohnern und 23.331 Coronafällen in den letzten 7 Tagen liegt dieser bei 108,6, also in etwa ähnlich wie in deutschen Ballungsgebieten. (Ich habe den Wert vom 19.10 für den 20.10 übernommen).

Es sieht nicht gut aus. 125000 neue Faelle landesweit. War gestern abend mal in Cape Coral downtown. Schaut man in die Kneipen, scheinen die Leute voellig unbesorgt zu sein.

Ja, landesweit sieht es übel aus, aber in Florida liegt die 7-Tage Inzidenz (Fälle pro 100.000 Einwonhner) schon seit Wochen um die 20. Ich schaue mir die Lage schon länger an und verlasse mich da auf die Zahlen der New-York-Times:

Nicht falsch verstehen, die Lage ist ernst, aber in Deutschland liegen wird ja momemtan bei Werten weit über 100 oder sogar 200.

Diese 20 sind der Durchschnitt der letzten Tage. Den musst Du mal 7 nehmen um ihn mit unserem Inzidenzwert zu vergleichen.

Vielen lieben Dank für die Klarstellung. Sehr wichtig, denn das habe ich dann immer falsch interpretiert.
Heißt also Floridas 7-Tage Inzidenz liegt damit bei 140. Das ist natürlich wirklich ein sehr hoher Wert, wobei wir hier in Deutschland ja nicht wirklich viel besser dran sind...
Zumindest ist der Wert in Florida in den letzten Wochen deutlich gesunden. Ich habe noch Zahlen im Kopf da war er (nach jetzt korrekter Umrechnung) bei über 1.000 (respektive 142 daily avg per 100.000).

Hallo Ralf, wie ist das Verhalten der Menschen bezüglich Masken in Geschäften und Restaurants in Florida?

In den meissten(oder allen ?) Geschaeften wird eine Maske verlangt,
In Restaurants werden zwar auch Masken getragen, aber das variiert. In manchen Lokalen tragen die Kellner Masken, in anderen nicht.
Letztlich scheinen mir die Leute in den Bars eher unbesorgt, die Besorgteren gehen natuerlich da erst garnicht hin.
Gestern habe ich mich einem anderen Forumsmitglied zum Dinner getroffen. Da ist mir aufgefallen, dass der Aussenbereich voll war, innen war leer. Das ist ja normalerweise eher umgekehrt. Koennte natuerlich auch am Wetter gelegen haben.
