Join the City of Cape Coral on Dec. 6 in celebrating the season with the Holiday Festival of Lights. An official Christmas tree lighting will start the merriment at 6 p.m. Downtown Cape Coral will be filled with the holiday spirit as children take photos with Santa and play in the snow blast pile. Train rides will also be a favorite for the little ones to enjoy. Adults can also treasure the evening by reminiscing of years past on a horse and carriage ride. Local schools, churches, and other organizations will provide entertainment. Guests should be sure to get there early because sections of Cape Coral Parkway will be closed for the event.
