ever, when we are in the states we ask ourselfs what phrase is correct.
I think, it would be helpfull, if we gather some information about some usefull phrases to use, when europeans come over to the states.
In Germany you place an order like: "Ich möchte gerne...", translatet it would be like: "I want to have...". My translation would be:" I would like to take..." maybe in an restaurant.
Or if if you want to rent a room in a hotel, what wil be the right phrase? Would it be like this: "Do you have any rooms?" or schould it be: "I would like to stay ... days in yout hotel, do you have any vacancies?"
