Transfer Port Everglades (Ft.L.) nach Miami internat. airport

Hallo,

Da kostet der Mietwagen weniger.

Danke,
pp

Im www gibt's zwar einiges an allg. Infos, aber das passt nicht richtig:

The airport and Port Everglades are practically neighbors. In fact, if you're driving, you can make a wrong turn and end up at the cruise dock when you meant to go to the airport and vice versa!

If you are flying in and renting a car for your pre-cruise stay, return it to the airport, and take a cab over to the port, or go back to the terminal and grab the ship's transportation. Car rental drop stations are no closer to the port via cab than the airport rental stations are, and you might have an extra "drop charge" for the privilege of leaving your rental at another office. A cab from the airport will cost between $12 and $15.

Yellow Cab/Checker can be reached at (954) 777-7777.

USA Transportation provides private car services, vans and mini-buses to and from airports and seaports; call (800) 458-0500.

By Car
If you're driving, there is parking at Port Everglades for about $15 per day. You can access the parking garages via S.E. 17th Street or via I-595 from I-95 and the Florida Turnpike. Port Everglades is huge and the cruise ships share space with international shipping operations, so it's critical to know at which terminal your ship is berthed. Check your cruise documents, or call your cruise line for this information.

Getting Around
You can "do" your three nights in Fort Lauderdale without a car if you just want to laze on the beach or take the water taxis or free trolley around the city. Otherwise, it would be difficult to access some of the marvelous activities the area has to offer, so we do recommend a rental if you're coming from out of town. Public transportation options are listed below:

Broward County Transit public buses service more than 410 square miles, with 250 buses plus 30 community buses on 40 routes. Rider information is available at (954) 357-8400.

Tri-Rail, a 67-mile commuter line, links Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade counties and offers free shuttles to the airport. Call (800) 874-7245.

Hop aboard one of Water Taxi's boats, and step ashore at major stops along the waterways. All-day unlimited-service passes are $20. Bulk ticket packages and charters are available. Call (954) 467-0008.

There are numerous ways to approach Miami no matter where you're coming from.

By Air
Most visitors fly into Miami International Airport, located about seven miles from downtown. Taxis are readily available, as are rental cars from all the major agencies. If you prefer to take public transportation, you can catch bus 7 to downtown Miami or bus J to Miami Beach. See www.miamidade.gov for more details. You can also take the Super Shuttle service (www.supershuttle.com).

By Train
Amtrak (www.amtrak.com) provides service to Miami.

By Bus
Greyhound (www.greyhound.com) makes several stops in Miami.

By Car
From the north, you'll approach via I-95. Highway 27 from central Florida becomes the Robert Frost Expressway and enters Miami near the airport. From the west, you'll come in along Highway 41. You can also take the coastal Highway A1A.

Getting Around in the City

This is confirmation for transportation from Port Everglades to the Miami Airport on _______

Please call the number listed below just before you go into the customs building so that I know you are beginning your debarkation from your ship.

I will then let you know where to meet the van once you do come out of the customs building.

The cost for this is $15 per person that is paid to the driver when you get dropped off at the Miami Airport.
